Searching for your next Netflix binge to keep you entertained as you wait for the holidays to roll around? If you can’t quite face scrolling through Netflix (or any of the best streaming services, for that matter) trying to find your next watch, let me help.
At Tom’s Guide, we keep a close eye on what’s trending on the platform, as that’s where would-be viewers might be tempted to turn for inspiration first. But as you can’t always guarantee what’s trending is actually worth watching, we regularly highlight a handful of worthwhile shows, so you always have a handy list of recommendations ready to go.
Best shows in the Netflix top 10
‘Love & Death’
“Love & Death” originally premiered in 2023 on HBO Max, but the psychological drama looks to have found fresh fans; it came to Netflix a week ago, and has risen to the No. 5 spot on its new streaming home (at the time of writing).
For the uninitiated, “Love & Death” is a compelling psychological drama that’s based on the true story of Candy Montgomery, a 1980s Texan housewife with a seemingly perfect life who finds herself accused of murder.

‘Stranger Things’
If you haven’t been on the internet for a couple of weeks, you might not know that the first half of “Stranger Things” season 5 has finally arrived.
Yes, three years after our last visit, we’re back in Hawkins. It’s 1987, and the town’s scarred by Rifts and under military quarantine. Eleven (Millie Bobby Brown) and the rest of the crew are united by one goal: to find and kill Vecna once and for all. Darker and deadlier than ever, this last season is shaping up to be an epic finale for the Netflix sensation.

‘The Beast in Me’
Gabe Rotter’s “The Beast in Me” might have hit the streamer back in November, but this cat-and-mouse thriller remains a popular watch.
If you’re yet to jump in, “The Beast in Me” is an eight-episode series about acclaimed author Aggie Wiggs (Claire Danes). Aggie’s pulled back from public life and her career since the death of her young son, but finds a subject for a new book: her new next-door neighbor, Nile Jarvis (Matthew Rhys).
Nile is a real estate mogul and was once the prime suspect in his wife’s disappearance, and Aggie soon finds herself chasing his demons (and fleeing her own) as she searches for the truth.
